Although official minutes are maintained at Simonton City Hall, they are provided here for the public’s convenience. If you are unable to locate the meeting minutes you seek, please visit Simonton City Hall, 35011 FM 1093 in Simonton Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. as the official minutes are always available during that time for public review.

Why is there a delay in getting them online? Time.

Meeting minutes are an official record of a meeting. As such, they must be “approved” by the City Council. For this reason, meeting minutes are made available only after they are approved by the City Council at a subsequent Regular Meeting. There will generally be a delay of at least 30 days from the time a meeting is held to the time the minutes are approved by City Council and available to the public.

The online version of the Minutes are made available after they have been approved and when time allows for their processing and presentation. The meeting minutes you see here are effectively “facsimiles”‘ or “representations” of the official meeting minutes.
